In some other parts of Ontario family jurisdiction is split between the Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Justice.
Brockville Family CourT LOCATION & Directions
The Brockville Superior Court of Justice is located at 41 Courthouse Square in a stunningly renovated historic building with a modern addition at the back. Heading east or west on the Highway 401, take exit 696 for County Road 29 toward Brockville/Smiths Falls. In 500m, turn left onto County Rd 29 (signs for County Road 29 S/County Road 2/Downtown) and finally turn left onto John Ross Matheson Way. After 1.5km, the courthouse will be on the left.
Brockville Family Court Parking
There is short term free parking available on the street right in front of the courthouse in addition to parking meters. Longer term parking is available on more remote streets, and at a municipal parking lot location down by the marina on the river south of the courthouse.
Brockville FAMILY Court Hours and Setup
Courthouse hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Walking through the main front doors, duty counsel office is to the right, and the court clerk's offices are to the left. All courtrooms are located at the back on the first and second floors, in the more modern addition that was added to the original building.
There is currently no security screening.
